Civil law is the branch of law covering the primary private law relations of a person beginning from prior to its birth to after the end of its personality.  Civil law deals with legal problems that a fetus may encounter, as well as acquisition of natural personality by birth or legal personality by incorporation, formation of family and its effects, entrance into obligation relations by persons, acquisition of movable and immovable properties, possession over such properties, holding land registry records and distribution of legacies to the relatives. Law of obligations, a branch of civil law, regulates obligation relations between persons.
