Our students, Ali Haydar Aksu, Ayşenur Aktaş, Melike Hazal Ulu, Sarper Ödev, Sudenur Elmas, and Zeynep Subaşı participated in the 28th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition. Our students faced the teams of the National University of Jodhpur, Wuhan University, Singapore Management University, and the University of Friborg in the verbal stage of the competition, which was held online this year due to the pandemic and participated by 385 teams, successfully represented our university.

Our graduates, Trainee Lawyer Ezgi Hazal Özhan and Trainee Lawyer Günce Yurdakul, won the first prize with their joint work in the article competition themed “Legal Security in the Focus of Human Rights” organized by the Istanbul Bar Association in memory of Atty. Kazım Kolcuoğlu.

Faculty of Law students Fehmi Levent Özkan, Ezgi Hazal Özhan, Nisa Nur Yıldırım, and Mücahit Güven successfully represented our university by participating in the 26th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition 2019 held in Vienna.

Kadir Has University Faculty of Law students Polat Yamaner, Merve Nur Kurt, Burak Emre Çetin, İbrahim Enes Altan, and Sinan Gürbüz qualified for the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition held in The Hague, Netherlands, leaving many universities behind in the national qualifying rounds. In this process, research assistants Murat Ceyhan and Duru Yavan were beside the students as academic coaches in their written and oral preparations. Between 14-19 May, our students personally participated in the case competition organized by Leiden University and the International Criminal Court every year, in which more than 38 countries participated in The Hague.

Our students made their oral defenses in front of other foreign university students and successfully answered the questions posed by the judges. Our students, who have undertaken the duties of defense, prosecution, and victim’s attorney with high success, reached the quarter-finals in front of the International Criminal Court. We congratulate all of our students and wish them success.

Kadir Has University Faculty of Law organized a symposium titled “Internet and Personal Data Protection Law” on 6 December 2016, with the contributions of Faculty students Deniz Nalbant, Deniz Çelikkaya, Aylin İrem Oral, Mertcan Yılmaz, and Berkay Akbaş.

Gökhan Demirel, a 2016 graduate, was awarded the first prize by the competition jury with the article he sent to the 5th Hasan Özderin Article Contest on “Deceptive Advertisements in terms of Unfair Competition” organized nationally by Akdeniz University Faculty of Law. We wish our student success throughout his career.

Kadir Has University Law School 2nd year students Polat Yamaner, Gökhun Boztepe, Yiğit Baran and Ali Kuş represented our university successfully at “Justinianus Moot Courts 2016”, a moot court competition held at Yeditepe University on 15-17 April 2016. At this competition, our students Polat Yamaner won the prize of “Outstanding Judge” and Gökhun Boztepe won the prize of “Outstanding Arbitrator”.

The KHAS Moot Court Team consisting of our 3rd-year students: Sinem Doğan, Baran Can Kaya, Oğuzhan Kundak, Zübeyde Yeşim Güler, and Merve Balaban, was placed 4th among 22 teams from 15 different universities at the written stage of the 3rd National Moot Court Competition organized by Fatih University and Witness Law Society. We are proud of all four students who successfully represented our university at the semi-final held on April 21, 2015. Special recognition goes to Merve Balaban, who was selected as the best speaker in Private Law at the competition’s oral stage.

Merve Balaban, a 3rd year student at our faculty, was selected as the “Best Speaker” in the field of private law at the oral stage of the 3rd National Moot Court Competition held on 21-22 April 2015 by Fatih University and Witness Law Society.

Our 3rd grade student Merve Balaban was placed 1st at the Intercollegiate Consumer Law Project Competition.
