Dr. Esra Ünal Joined KHAS Faculty of Law

Esra Ünal graduated with a Ph.D. in International Law from the University of Strasbourg in March 2022. She holds an M.A. from the University of Athens, and an LL.B. (with high honors) and a B.A. (double major) in International Relations from the Istanbul Bilgi University. During her studies, she participated in exchange programs with Saint-Louis University – Brussels and Han Yang University in South Korea and attended Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington D.C and the Public International Law Section of the Hague Academy of International Law.

In the past, Esra worked at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Before working at the Court, she had an internship with the Council of Europe Project Office in Ankara and the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the United Nations in New York. Esra is also a researcher at the University of Athens International Law Center and a lawyer registered to the Istanbul Bar Association.

Esra Ünal has joined the International Law Department of KHAS Faculty of Law as a Visiting Lecturer.
