The history of law starts and develops with civilization and ends with it. Knowing how legal terms and institutions create and being aware of the conditions they change are obligatory for a lawyer. A lawyer should consider positive domestic law and the history of domestic law and other countries’ history of law. This knowledge leads a lawyer to acquire the qualifications regarding where their domestic law takes place and the reason behind this, the conditions of designation possibility compared to other law systems, and assessment of distinctive ways of their domestic law. Due to these reasons, the History of Law Department overemphasizes the distinctions between history, law, and public history of law.
